What you need to play:
4 guys (or gals) $20 per head ($80 per team)
A riverboat (course goes down river)
A designated boat driver- (In the event alcohol is involved)
Golf clubs- (at least one set per team)
A sense of humor and a fierce Alaskan competitive spirit.
Bunny boots. Snowmachine helmet.
(note): No Porta Potties will be stationed along the course
Rules: Beginning at the Grayle Landing, the first team will tee off at 4pm sharp. There will be ten minutes between tee times. Teams play the best shot, and there are no “gimme’s on the putting surface. (Hard rules). In the event no team members ball makes it successfully across the river, a standard ‘in the drink” penalty will be accessed. A representative from the Hospitality House will be at each hole to confirm scores and keep you ball kickers honest. On the first hole, all players must wear a pair of Bunny boots and a Snowmachine helmet.
1) Best ball may be lifted, cleaned and placed-directly back in original landing location.
2) Players may share a set of clubs
3) If all 4 hit ob or in the water-a two stroke penalty will occur and ball will be placed in drop location.
4) 2 mulligans will be given per team-more can be purchased for $10 each (with $ going to the charity-up to 5 additional Mulligans can be purchased by each team) These can be used as extra Tee shots, putts or approach shots.
5) Life vests MUST be worn at all times while in the boat by everyone in each boat.
6) Teams will each keep their own score and the card must be signed at the end by the designated score keeper.
7) Prize for closest to the pin will be handed out on each hole and determined at the end of the event. Prizes courtesy of Play it Again Sports.
8) Hole in one prizes must be confirmed by the hole representative.
9) Both the first place team and last place team will be given the opportunity to take one golf shot for a chance to win an AVT or Snow Machine from Compeaus. Several participants names will also be drawn for a chance to win as well.
Grand Prize: After completion of the 9th holes, the team with the best score and the team with the worst score will all get one individual shot at their choice of a new Can Am ATV, or Ski-doo snowmachine from Compeau’s. In order for one of these final 8 players to win the grand prize, they have to make a 100 yd shot into an open keg. In addition, all KXLR listeners can sign up for shot at the “Grand Prize” At Compeau’s, or by filling out an entry form online at
www.compeaus.com 8 additional names will be drawn on July 22nd (limit one entry per person- must be 18)
